FLOWER STUDIES

The making of these watercolor studies served as a respite and a form of therapy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eventually they began to inform other work. As the studies began to pile up I began haphazardly taping them to the walls of the room that doubled as my studio. Between March and July 2020 I filled nearly every square inch of the walls of the room, transforming the space into a sanctuary of color and life. A smaller version of the work was installed at the Stay Home Gallery and Artists’ Residency in Paris, TN in October of 2020. All works are watercolor on paper.
